Accessible PDFs

On the RETech Initiative's website many PDF documents are accessible only to a limited extend. The Initiative's focal point has set itself the goal of making an increasing number of PDF documents accessible in future. By converting the documents, their contents can also be displayed as HTML or text version. PDF software provider Adobe offers this service on the Internet at    www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/access_adv_form.html.

Conversion guide:
Go to the site which hosts the PDF document you want to convert. Right click on the link to the PDF document. If you are using Internet Explorer click on Copy Shortcut to save the path to the clipboard, if you are using Mozilla Firefox, click on Copy Link Location. Open the Adobe website at    www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/access_adv_form.html in a new window and paste the path into the URL field, then follow the instructions and use the options on this page. Conversion may require some time, depending on the size of the file.

Saving and viewing PDF documents

Should you have problems viewing the brochure online as a PDF document, we suggest downloading the brochure first. Right click on PDF and save to your computer by clicking on Save target as (Explorer) or Save link as (Netscape). You will now be able to view the brochure offline.

Left click on the linked PDF to view the document.

Netscape: keep the SHIFT key pressed and left click on the PDF symbol to download as an unpacked PDF file.

Internet Explorer:Right click on the linked PDF to download as an unpacked PDF file.

To view the PDF files, your computer requires the free Adobe    Acrobat Reader von Adobe.

Excel documents

Please download the document before using it. You will not have any problems with links or formulas which may be included in the document.

If you want to use or try out a document online, please note that you will be asked whether you accept changes when activating internal links. For links to work you need to click on No. It is therefore easier to download excel documents and use them offline.
