In cooperation with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety has developed a new edition of its publication "GreenTech made in Germany" - Environmental Technologies in Germany.

It is based on an survey among 1300 environmental technology companies and 200 research institutions in Germany. It focuses is on six lead markets of the future: Environmental friendly generation of energy, energy efficiency, efficiency of materials and raw materials, closed substance cycle management, sustainable water management and sustainable mobility.

The 2009 edition examines the capability of environmental technologies in Germany and its federal states as well as in its mayor international competitor countries (USA, Japan, Brazil, Russia, India, China). It gives information on economic potential and prognoses with a range of analyses, figures and maps. In addition, it encloses a DVD containing an extensive company directory that gives a comprehensive overview of companies and research institutions in the German environmental technology sector.

"GreenTech made in Germany 2.0" is expected to be available in English at the end of may 2009. More information will be provided here as soon as it has been published.
