Kay Oppat joins metals recycler Scholz as COO

26.01.2015 - Kay Oppat has assumed the role of managing director of Scholz Holding GmbH, effective immediately, the German metals recycling group announced on 26 January. He takes over the duties of the chief operating officer (COO), replacing Raphael Barth, who left Scholz in September of last year. Mr Oppat is responsible for production, procurement, logistics, product development and technology as well as for the company's service offerings, according to the Essingen-based company. more

German recovered paper price movements moderate in January

21.01.2015 - The German recovered paper market got off to a relatively quiet start at the beginning of the new year. After strong price fluctuations in the final two months of 2014, price movements turned out to be comparatively moderate in January. The majority of EUWID sources report that there had been no major pricing negotiations; contracts are said to have been signed and sealed quite quickly, and frequently at unchanged prices. more

ECJ: No need for opt-out from public waste management systems
