The conference on waste management in Eastern Europe will provide information on the development and implementation of waste management projects in a compact manner. The event takes place in Poland's capital Warsaw, March 17 - 18 2010.
Switzerland and Germany - with a handful of other countries - hold leading positions if it comes to protection of the environment and climate protection. Over the development period towards sustainable waste management systems, both countries gathered broad experience regarding the political, economic and technical apects of waste management.
The conferens aims at providing public and private institutions contributing to the development of ecological and efficient waste management systems with information on ways to accomplish this task successfully. Stakeholders in the new EU member states can use the experience of countries that already dispose of highly developed waste management systems, thus avoiding detours.
Within the framework of the waste management conference in Wasaw, experts of public institutions, private companies and universities report about their experiences implementing targets in waste management. Well-versed specialists procure knowledge on practicable project management and ways to build up efficient and sustainable waste treatment and disposal plants.
Within the conference section "Financing and Subsidies" representatives of the Export Initiative Recycling and Efficiency technologies procure information on promotion of the transfer of German technologies and services to Eastern European countries.
