General Profile
Laboratory for recycling technology with comprehensive technical equipment on pilot plant scale:
- Shredder / hammer mill / laboratory pulverizer, magnetic grader, eddy current, separator, electrostatic separator, air separator, large dryer, overheadroom shaker to analyze landfill leachate, table for separating waste by hand to analyze sorted waste, bomb calorimeter for determination of the calorific value, …
- Equipment for determination of the rotting degree of compost samples
Description of Activities
- Laboratory Studies: Processing examinations for different types of waste (e. g. electric and electronic scrap, packaging, light fraction for shredder, compost, …), disassembly experiments to test recycling compatibility of electric and electronic equipment, determination of rotting degree for compost, basic waste analysis
- Certification of scrap car recycling companies as well as environment and quality management systems (in cooperation with partners)
- Lectures / instructions in acceding countries of the EU on the subjects scrap car and electronic waste recycling
