Ambassadors from all over the world will be introduced to innovative solutions from the green tech sector at IFAT
Together with the Federal Foreign Office, the German RETech Partnership (RETech), German Water Partnership (GWP) and IFAT hosted an ambassadors' breakfast on April 18. Current challenges in the circular economy and water management were discussed.
Ambassadors and diplomatic representatives from various countries were invited to a joint breakfast in the International Club at the Federal Foreign Office. Marcus Stadthaus, Head of Division for Strategy, Communication and Mainstreaming of Foreign Climate Policy, Biodiversity and Environment at the Federal Foreign Office, and Nilgün Parker, Head of Division for Sustainable Finance Policy, Environment and Foreign Trade Promotion at the Federal Environment Ministry, welcomed the participants. They then emphasized the importance of innovation, cooperation and creative solutions in the circular economy and the water sector. Mr. Stadthaus particularly emphasized the key role of associations in climate protection.
Furthermore, the diplomatic guests were informed about the extensive program of IFAT Munich. IFAT offers innovative technological solutions and know-how for the current challenges of the recycling industry and the water sector on 300,000 m² and in 18 halls. Katharina Schlegel, Head of Global Industry at IFATworldwide, invited the diplomats to visit the world's leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials.
The message from the GWP and RETech board members on the future of the two sectors was clear. Even though they called for action, they are confident and forward-looking about the future.
